Essential oils for presence and a clear mind

Do you ever have those days where everything is so overwhelming that you feel like you have forgotten how to breath? Or days where you just go through the motions and when you’re in bed, you don’t even remember what you accomplished? I am SO guilty of this. Life is always about go, go, go and sometimes I forget to take a moment to appreciate my life and my people.

As I am (still) working through my Powersheets (this is a no judgment zone), one of the goals I keep coming back to is being present with my mind. This is easier said than done and I know you are looking at me like I am crazy woman who smelled way too many oils and wants to talk about constellations and the universe.

I get it, I would be looking at me with crazy eyes as well. However, I realized that I let this past year literally pass me by without me enjoying the moment which is insane. I had a beautiful baby boy and I feel as though I put so much pressure on making everything perfect that I crumbled in the process.

Long story short, I am slowly making progress towards this goal and I knew one element in my life that could help with this journey would be my oils. YES YES YES, I am an oily lady for life because these little vials have actually helped me and I do believe in their little magical moments. After doing tons of research, today, I want to share with you the oils that will help you with achieving some clarity and setting you back to zero.

  • Let’s start with the basics and everyone’s favorite: lavender. Lavender has many amazing properties and one use it is very popular for is relaxation. Lavender reduces anxious feelings and promotes calm within you.
  • Frankincense helps with keeping your hormones balanced and is also an amazing stress reliever.
  • Peppermint is actually on the other side of the spectrum where it has jolting features of giving you a clear mind to think. I love this in the mornings of a busy day or even after a big lunch where I feel sluggish.
  • Northern Lights Black Spruce is a mouthful however this oil creates a sense of being grounded. It has a woodsy aroma that brings that earth feel to your senses. This is a good one to diffuse during meditation.
  • Cedarwood is a very relaxing and soothing oil. I actually use a combination of this and lavender is my nighttime diffuser to calm my mind and prepare me for bed.
  • Vetiver took me a little time to get used to. Used to smooth stress and bring feeling of restoration as it improves circulation bringing you calm and stability.
  • White Angelica is known to be a calming and soothing blend that brings a feeling of wholeness.
  • Release is new to my oils collection and is becoming a favorite. Given its name, it is perfect to help with letting go anger and is great for complimenting your yoga practice.
  • Stress Away is a oily family favorite and smells very sweet. Similar to Release, the name is exactly what it does. It eases tension and supports your emotional balance.
