The Genuine Home Series

Hello internet!

It has been a long time since I got to sit down and write on this blog. Things have been crazy around here with us moving into a new home and welcoming our second baby boy! With things finally getting back into almost regular (how regular or normal can it be with a newborn?) swing of things, I am excited to start a new series on this blog.

With the move to our new home, we have a lot more space and knowing that this will be our forever home, or the home that we raise all our children, I wanted to be very particular with decor and furniture. In our last house, since I knew we were always going to move, I only made the basic improvements of a fresh coat of paint and lots of decor from Hobby Lobby.

As we look to make this house a home, I wanted to start with the boys’ rooms. I know that from every room in our house, these will be the ones that will evolve and change the most and this is the only time that I will have a say in what the rooms would look like.

I am so excited to have you guys along on this journey as I plan out every inch of this house and bring you along on some DIY’s, budget-friendly furnishings and even journal this evolution that will be slow but fun!
